Aaron’s Wish 2019
Almost 200 Guests enjoyed the most spectacular Aaron’s Wish Charity Dinner on the 27th July 2019, all looking dazzling in their finest black tie attire.
Marco Sanchez greeted Guests with sultry tunes from his saxophone, setting the elegant mood for the night. The Casablanca Room dazzled with the wonderful lighting expertise of Benjamin Herring, assisted by Thomas Williamson. The fabulous Sassy Sisters, looking stunning in red, harmonised beautifully in their Head Over Heels Show, blending familiar songs with comedy and audience participation, providing polished and engaging entertainment that was thoroughly enjoyed by all Aaron’s Wish Guests
Guests and Sponsors on the night were treated to the most incredible dining experience with luscious canapes, entrees and mains created and executed by celebrated Chef John McFadden, with the help of an amazing team of professional/trainee Chefs (special thanks to Le Cordon Bleu and Baulkham Hills/Nepean TAFE teachers and students). Adding the sweet touch to the meal were the spectacular desserts created and executed by Frank Gulisano (Dolcettini).
Heartfelt, and at times emotional, speeches from Liam Iori, Professor Kerrie McDonald (CEO Cure Brain Cancer Foundation), Annabelle Wilson (Head of Advocacy, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation) and cancer Researcher, A/Professor Joshua Mccarroll, enlightened all present with their personal stories and current research.
Shane Gibbons brought his energy and auctioneering skills to the night charming Guests to buy the live auction items available (some would say they were terrified to mindlessly move their hands for fear of adding a bid!).
An incredible $54,243 was raised for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation to find better treatments for brain cancer patients.
